Want to perform with us?

Opportunities to submit your  10-20 minute play for our Summer Sizzlers is open now!  We are still accepting new plays for our Summer Sizzler Series which will be in August 2025 at the Carl Cherry Center for the Arts, in Carmel CA. The Summer Sizzler does NOT have to be sexually or amorous in nature. Think outside of the sizzle box. No sci-fi or musicals, but there can be music in the play. Soapbox Stageworks on the Monterey Peninsula is the premiere theatre for new works from playwrights around the world. We are especially interested in untold stories that make us laugh, have us in tears, or cause us to cheer for an underdog. Our Summer Sizzler Series is new. Think steamy (not necessarily sexy), funny, poignant and/or surprising.
